Faith & Learning Opportunities
Peace’s mission statement-To bring people into contact with the Gospel, and help them grow in their relationship with Christ-captures the essence of what happens here throughout the year.
Worship
Together in worship, we hear the good news of God’s love for all people proclaimed. Come and be fed and nourished by the Word of God and by the sacrament of Holy Communion. Saturday: 5:00 pm and Sunday: 8:30 am and 11:00 am, and the contemporary worship service at 6:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month.
Sunday School for all Ages
Peace offers Sunday School for all ages. The Education Hour starts at 9:45 am on Sundays.
Bible Study
If you are looking for in-depth and meaningful Bible exploration, the midweek Bible study group would be perfect for you. This faithful group led by Pastor Dave meets every Wednesday at 10:00am to examine the Bible’s historical context and its meaning in our lives. Feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.
Lent Series (Forty Days before Easter)
Lent is a great time to think about what God is doing for us and our world. To help us explore these issues, Pastor Dave offers a series which meets Saturday evenings, after the 5:00 pm service. Dinner is often provided for a cost. Don’t miss this well received series! Call the church office for more information.
Evening Opportunities
Several times during the year classes are offered in the evening for those who cannot make it to the day-time Bible Study. Some sessions meet once a week for several weeks. Some meet once a month and focus on a different topic. Examples of the topics for evening Bible Study have included Revelation, Lutheranism, and the Psalms. Even the old Andy Griffith TV Show has provided a topic of discussion in the Mayberry Bible Study! Call the church office for more information.
Meal in the Upper Room
You are invited to the annual Maundy Thursday celebration of the "Meal in the Upper Room." Christians now refer to this celebration as "The Last Supper." Jesus and his disciples came to Jerusalem, rented the "Upper Room" and partook of a meal using symbolic foods to tell the story of Passover, the deliverance of the Jewish people from their slavery in Egypt. A sign up is offered prior to the event.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer Peace offers a week-long Vacation Bible School for the children to learn Bible stories, sing songs, make crafts, and enjoy some fun time together.
