Game Night Event - May 31

On Saturday, May 31, the senior high youth group will gather to make pizzas and to play some games. After the 5:00 p.m. worship, we’ll make homemade pizzas in the kitchen and then play some group games together. As always, your friends are welcome, too. Please use the sign up slip in the bulletin or let Pastor Ben know that you will attend.

Recognizing Graduates - May 31 & June 1

On the weekend of May 31 & June 1 during the worship, we would like to recognize all those who are graduating from high school and beyond. Please write the information on the sign up slip in the bulletin or call the church office.

Leadership Lab – July 14-19

Leadership Lab helps youth become leaders in congregations, in communities, and the world. Each summer the ELCA synods of Illinois host this great retreat at Augustana College in Rock Island. This year it will be July 14-19. It is a week long retreat filled with worship, Bible study, fellowship, and faith development geared towards personal growth and geared towards sharing these leadership skills with your congregation. If you are interested, talk to Eric Wesel, who works at this event each year and talk to Pastor Ben, who attended Leadership Lab when he was in high school and because he has the registration forms. You must have completed 8^th grade to attend.

Coffee and Conversation Cancelled

Unfortunately, the Novel Brew in the New Lenox library has closed so the Tuesday coffee and conversation is also stopping for the time being. However, if you would ever want to meet with me, whether at church or some other location, please let me know. Pastor Ben

Chess & Game Club - Weekly on Tuesdays

Our first meeting of the Chess & Game Club was such a success, we plan to continue meeting weekly. Please mark your calendars for our next meeting which will be on Tuesday, May 13, from 7:00-8:00 p.m., at Peace. Join us for a fun non-profit Chess and Game Club for all ages to encourage growth through learning a new thing and fun for families, friends and new friends. It provides fun together and a learning environment for the novice/beginner, and the challenge for the competitor in you as well. All ages are invited and we will grow as we go. Invite a friend too; it is open to everyone including friends and family. Volunteers and funseekers are welcome too. Please use the sign up slip in the bulletin. If you have any questions, please call Joanne Webb at (815) 603-2235.

Summer Camp Brochures

The Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center brochures are at church. The theme this year is “One”, based on Ephesians 4:4-6. There is something for almost everyone-including volunteer opportunities. You can also visit www.lomc.org for more information. We also have Camp Manitoqua’s brochures. Look for the brochures on the credenza in the narthex.
