This past Sunday was Easter and it came with all of the fanfare, flowers, and Easter dresses as usual. However, this year the person who was supposed to set up and clean up communion was sick, the morning of Easter! (Insert Pastor and Deacon Freak out moment) What does one do in such a moment, find a youth! I immediately found our youth council representative Emily, and asked her for help. Within minutes she had a whole group of youth and they were busy at work. In less than 10 minutes they set up the communion, and cleaned up from the early service in a reverent way and with large Easter smiles! Ya'll I'm not kidding, we have the most amazing youth! How lucky we are to have the presence of Christ in our midst, for our youth and through our youth! Where else do you find High school youth working together with no need for adult help, no where! At Peace it happens all the time! Thanks my youth people! You rock my Easter socks off!
